Judas

THEORY

Judas was the first Vampire.

Because he betrayed Jesus he is cursed to walk the Earth forever as an immortal, denied entry into either Heaven or Hell.

His vulnerability to Christian symbols, such as the cross, is due to him seeing the crucified Christ from his hanging tree, yet having died before Jesus, not being saved for his sins. As he died at sunset, he is never able to stand the sun. The reason for his vulnerability to silver is due to the pieces of silver he was paid for his betrayal.

Bible links:

Judas led a band of Roman soldiers to arrest Jesus and he identified Jesus for the authorities by kissing him.
(Matt. 26:49; Mark 14:45; Luke 22:47)

Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss for thirty pieces of silver. Judas had been in charge of the common purse, from which he stole money (John 12:16; 13:29).

Jesus was nailed to a cross and a spear (stake) was stabbed into Jesus' side (heart).
Vampires can be killed with a stake in the heart.

Judas repented by hanging himself (Matthew 27:1,8) after buying a plot of land called Aceldama, that is to say, the field of blood? (Acts 1:16,20).

The mirror is another important symbol in the vampire legend. A vampire is never reflected.

His name comes at the end of a list of the apostles in the Bible
(Matt. 10:4; Mark 3:19; Luke 6:16).

Judas is identified by Jesus himself as ?a devil? among the apostles
(John 6:70,71).

Judas led a band of Roman soldiers to arrest Jesus and he identifies Jesus for the authorities by kissing him. (Matt. 26:49; Mark 14:45; Luke 22:47)

Judas was paid thirty pieces of silver by the chief priests for betraying Jesus (Matthew 26:15)
