The best Tarantino films actually never got made

The best Tarantino films actually never got made.

As well as KB3 there is the Vega Brothers starring John Travolta and Michael Madson which predates both Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. The scene in Dogs where Vic Vega Mr blonde walks into Joe Cabots office while he's on the phone? The scene in Pulp fiction where Vincent Vega walks into The club and Marcellus is on the phone? They are talking to each other, same conversation, two films.

This is the genius of Tarrantino, that he has all these connected stories.

The tragedy is he never made the films that would have shared them with the world.

Kill Bill

Bill does not kill her. In Kill Bill 3, which was never made, she inherits Oren's money and trains Nikki to get revenge. The bride took Sophie's other arm, which was in the original Japanese cut, but not in the Hollywood release

She did not have her legs clean off, that is not only very hard to do, it would mean Sophie would bleed out. The Brude cut her legs, which probably left her confined to a wheelchair, permanently disabled. Possibly, if the damage was great enough, she would lose her legs later in hospital. This is consistent with the idea in Film Three that Elle is eyeless and Sophie is limbless.

The funniest joke in Kill Bill 3.Sophie says to Elle "How many fingers am I Holding up?"

Oren was the easiest to find, and she needed a Sophie to get the info on where to find the rest. Her and Vivaca are pretty evenly matched in the knife fight, same as she and Oren are matched in swords. With Budd she tries to sneak up on him ninja style but he outsmarts and outmanoeuvres her. Her escape from the box is due to her inch punch training. She doesn't actually kill Budd when she does go back to the trailer, Elle kills him via the snake.

The deadliest of them all is actually Elle as they are exactly the same. Both experts with the sword. same as Oren, and now armed with a Hanzo katana. Both trained by pai mei. And again, she doesn't actually kill Elle, she leaves her to the mamba.

There is significance in O Ren planning to cut off her head, while The Bride only has to cut off the top of the skull, which only a Hanzo sword can do. The sword advisors for the film will have gone into great detail with what can be done, and what the myth of Hanzo would stretch to. Which is why she needed a Hanzo sword, not just any sword. When she meets Elle, they both have a Hanzo, so are evenly matched. Hence the eye pluck, which was of course a Pai Mei Eagle Clawmove, and Elle suffered it twice.

Budd  seemed resigned to his fate when he was talking to Bill, yet he did beat her tactically. Agree Bride is noble, like a samurai while Budd uses less honourable methods, but that is the point. They are all different.

Elle is trained the same as The Bride, but Elle also uses un noble tactics. Her primary weapon is poison. That is how she planned to kill Bride in her sleep at the hospital , and how she did kill both Pai Mai and Budd. Poison. The Bride goes after them in terms of easiest first. Oren. Vivaca. Budd. Elle. Bill. Not risking the more deadliest one killing her early.

Oren was the most open so easiest to find. She needed sophie to tell her how to find the others. Gogo did get the upper hand at one point, mainly cause the Bride underestimated her. Budd was probably great back in the day but went downhill by the time we meet him. We don't know why, but Tarantino does. Oren had her body guards, which the Bride had to go through. The actual sword fight on the snow was great, but Beatrix was always going to win that one.

maybe Budd was a tactician. Bills second in command. Would make sense he would have his brother in a more tactical role rather than out in the field risking his life. Budd is sword trained and Bill gave him a Hanzo sword. So maybe Budd is highly trained in Heiho combat strategy. Like i write below, he draws The Bride in, ambushes her, buries her alive, makes her suffer. He never looks like fight her direct with his sword, or have a knife fight. He uses indirect methods and background intelligence, Bills info, a tranquil injection, and an assistant.

When Joe Cabot meets Mr white and they talk about Alabama, the good little thief? That's the girl from True Romance. In the original script Clarence dies at the end and Alabama, raising their son alone, who she doesn't call Elvis of course, meets Larry and they have their time together, which happens in tandem with the Vega Brothers story. Two great films that never got made

Though the Oliver Stone version of Natural Born killers was great, and True Romance was good, it's a pity we never got to see them made by Tarantino, the way they were supposed tô be made. Then maybe we wouldn't have seen him waste time on Jackie a brown and later with Inglorious Bastards. We would have had six great films after Kill Bill. Then he could have done Vega Brothers and the Larry Alabama films
