Exercise caution in your business affairs,

 for the world is full of trickery. 

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;

 many persons strive for high ideals, 

and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. 

Especially do not feign affection. 

Neither be cynical about love; 

for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,

 it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,

 gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. 

You are a child of the universe 

no less than the trees and the stars; 

you have a right to be here.

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. 

Therefore be at peace with God, 

whatever you conceive Him to be. 

And whatever your labors and aspirations,

 in the noisy confusion of life,

 keep peace in your soul. 

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,

 it is still a beautiful world.

It's natural to think that living things must be the handiwork of a designer.

Gravity explains the motions of the planets, 

but it cannot explain who sets the planets in motion

 

Every instinct that is found in any man is in all men. 

The strength of the emotion may not be so overpowering,

 the barriers against possession not so insurmountable,

 the urge to accomplish the desire less keen. 

With some, inhibitions and urges may be neutralized by other tendencies.

 But with every being the primal emotions are there.

 All men have an emotion to kill; 

when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead.

Dark (doesn't) Matter

 

Scientists talk about dark matter, 

the invisible, mysterious substance that occupies the space between stars.

 Dark matter makes up 99.99 percent of the universe, and they don't know what it is.

 Well I do. 

It's apathy.
